The investment philosophy of Alden Equity Partners is to evaluate under-performing businesses and to identify and deploy the resources necessary to return the operations to profitability. When required, the team will strengthen the current management team by adding talent while investing the necessary capital to restructure and reinvigorate the business. During the term of the investment, the AEP principals develop strong working partnerships with management, providing support and assistance.
The team is often directly involved in the day-to-day execution of the business plan during the critical initial turn-around phase. Utilizing its expertise gained from over 60 years of our collective restructuring experience as well as its network of strategic professional relationships, the team works tirelessly to turn-around the target company.
Once the company has stabilized and the situations has improved, AEP will work with management to help set operational and strategic goals through the Board of Directors or specific project teams. AEP offers the opportunity for significant equity ownership to its management partners. When the appropriate time to exit arrives, the team will work with management in evaluating and executing on the best option available for shareholders, employees and management, whether a public offering, a private sale or a recapitalization.
